Marketplace Terms
Effective Date: January 11, 2026
1. Introduction
These Marketplace Terms govern the buying and selling of services on the ÄRI platform. They apply in addition to our general Terms of Service and are an integral part of those Terms.
By offering or purchasing services through ÄRI, you agree to these Marketplace Terms.
2. Platform Role
ÄRI is a facilitator, not a party to transactions.
We provide the technology platform that enables Sellers (service providers) to offer their services and Buyers (purchasers) to purchase those services. ÄRI does not:
- Provide any services listed on the platform
- Employ or control the Sellers
- Guarantee the quality, accuracy, or delivery of services
- Become a party to any agreement between Buyers and Sellers
When a transaction is completed, a direct contract is formed between the Buyer and Seller. ÄRI is not a party to this contract.
3. Becoming a Seller
To offer services on ÄRI, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid ÄRI account in good standing
- Complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payments
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your services
- Comply with all applicable laws, including tax obligations and professional licensing requirements
3.1 Stripe Connect
All Sellers must connect a Stripe account to receive payments. By using Stripe, you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
4. Seller Obligations
As a Seller, you agree to:
4.1 Accurate Service Descriptions
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful descriptions of your services
- Clearly state what is included in your service
- Set realistic delivery timelines and expectations
- Update your listings promptly when circumstances change
4.2 Service Delivery
- Deliver services as described and within the agreed timeframe
- Communicate promptly with Buyers about any issues or delays
- Provide services with reasonable skill and care
- Honor all commitments made in your service listings
4.3 Professional Conduct
- Communicate professionally with all Buyers
- Respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Handle disputes professionally and in good faith
- Maintain any required professional licenses or certifications
4.4 Legal Compliance
- Comply with all applicable laws, including tax laws and professional regulations
- Report income received through the platform as required by law
- Maintain any insurance required for your type of service
5. Buyer Obligations
As a Buyer, you agree to:
- Read and understand service descriptions before purchasing
- Provide accurate information needed for service delivery
- Communicate clearly about your requirements and expectations
- Pay for services as agreed
- Provide constructive feedback after service completion
- Raise any issues or concerns promptly with the Seller
6. Service Types
ÄRI supports various types of services:
6.1 Mentorship Services
One-on-one or group mentoring sessions in various professional areas. Pricing may be per session, per hour, or as a package.
6.2 Consulting Services
Professional advice and expertise in specific domains. May be priced hourly or as fixed-scope projects.
6.3 Subscription Services
Ongoing services with recurring billing (weekly, monthly, or yearly). Subscriptions continue until cancelled.
6.4 One-Time Services
Single deliverables or project-based work with fixed pricing.
6.5 Courses
Educational content or training programs, either self-paced or live.
7. Pricing and Fees
7.1 Service Pricing
Sellers set their own prices for services. All prices are displayed in the currency selected by the Seller.
7.2 Platform Fees
ÄRI may charge platform fees for facilitating transactions. Any applicable fees will be clearly disclosed before you complete a transaction.
7.3 Payment Processing
Stripe charges payment processing fees, which are deducted from the Seller's payout. See our Payment Terms for details.
8. Dispute Resolution
Disputes should be resolved directly between Buyers and Sellers.
If you have an issue with a service transaction:
- Communicate First: Contact the other party directly to try to resolve the issue.
- Request Mediation: If direct communication fails, you may contact us at contact@ari.com.ee to request informal mediation.
- Chargebacks: As a last resort, Buyers may initiate a chargeback through their payment provider, though this should be used only for legitimate disputes.
ÄRI may, at its sole discretion, assist in resolving disputes but is not obligated to do so.
9. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund policies are primarily determined by Sellers. Please review our Refund Policy for details on how refunds and cancellations are handled. Refund Policy
10. Reviews and Feedback
After completing a service, Buyers may leave reviews and feedback. Reviews must:
- Be honest and based on actual experience
- Not contain personal attacks or harassment
- Not include confidential information
- Not violate our Acceptable Use Policy
We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our policies.
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 Service Materials
Unless otherwise agreed in writing between Buyer and Seller, the Seller retains ownership of any intellectual property in the services provided. The Buyer receives a license to use the deliverables for their intended purpose.
11.2 Custom Work
For custom work or projects, Buyers and Sellers should clearly agree on intellectual property ownership in advance.
12. Prohibited Services
The following types of services are not allowed on ÄRI:
- Illegal services or activities
- Services that infringe intellectual property rights
- Academic fraud (essay writing for academic submission)
- Services requiring professional licenses you don't hold
- Adult content or services
- Gambling or betting services
- Services that violate our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
13. Limitation of Liability
ÄRI is not liable for:
- The quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any services
- The accuracy of service descriptions or Seller qualifications
- Any disputes between Buyers and Sellers
- Any losses arising from service transactions
The limitations in our Terms of Service apply to marketplace transactions.
14. Tax Responsibilities
Sellers are responsible for their own taxes.
Income earned through ÄRI may be taxable. Sellers are responsible for:
- Determining their tax obligations based on their jurisdiction
- Registering for VAT/sales tax if required
- Collecting and remitting taxes as required by law
- Reporting income to relevant tax authorities
ÄRI may provide transaction summaries to help with tax reporting but does not provide tax advice.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Marketplace Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Sellers in advance. Continued use of the marketplace after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
